Rimal Tower – Sharjah, Al Majaz
Rimal Tower – Sharjah is one of the prominent high-rise landmarks we are proud to have delivered in the vibrant Al Majaz 1 area. The project consists of 34 floors (G+6P+28), presenting advanced engineering challenges that require exceptional precision in load calculations and wind-resistance design for the external façades.
In this project, we combined the structural strength of mechanical ceramic cladding systems with the architectural elegance of circular GRC façades, achieving a balance between durability, safety, and refined aesthetic appeal.
Owner & Main Contractor: Abdulaziz Al Majed Group
Location: Al Majaz 1, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
Building Type: High-Rise Residential Tower (Ground + 6 Parking Floors + 28 Typical Floors)
Scope of Work: Mechanical fixing (Brackets & Runners), ceramic cladding, circular GRC façades
Project Status: Under Construction
Technical Details & Scope of Work
Arab Engineer’s expertise is clearly demonstrated in this project through the execution of advanced façade systems:
Mechanical Fixation Systems
Installation of a fully integrated steel framework comprising brackets and runners, engineered to safely support external cladding loads at high elevations.
Precise alignment control to ensure perfectly level and uniform surfaces for ceramic installation.
Curved GRC Façades
Supply and installation of Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GRC) elements with circular and curved architectural designs.
This scope requires high-level craftsmanship to achieve smooth curves and accurate joint alignment between curved panels, delivering the intended cylindrical or arched façade appearance.
Ceramic Cladding
Installation of ceramic tiles using a mechanical hanging system, the most suitable solution for high-rise towers to ensure maximum safety and prevent detachment caused by thermal expansion or structural vibrations.
